Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the CleanStreak mobile application ("App") operated by CleanStreak ("us", "we", or "our").
By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, do not use the App.
1. Use of the App
CleanStreak is a personal productivity app for tracking household cleaning habits and streaks. You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App.
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.
- Attempt to interfere with the proper functioning of the App.
2. No Account Required
CleanStreak does not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use the App. All app data is stored locally on your device and, if you are signed into iCloud, synced through your personal Apple iCloud account. We have no access to your data.
3. iCloud and Apple Services
Cross-device sync relies on Apple's iCloud infrastructure (CloudKit and iCloud Key-Value Store). Your use of iCloud is subject to Apple's Terms of Service and iCloud Terms and Conditions. CleanStreak is not responsible for the availability, performance, or data handling practices of Apple's services.
4. Your Data
All app data you create — rooms, tasks, completion history, and streak records — belongs to you. Because we do not operate backend servers and have no access to your data, we cannot recover it if it is lost due to device failure, accidental deletion, or iCloud issues. We recommend periodically exporting your data using the export feature in Settings.
5. Intellectual Property
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of CleanStreak and its licensors. The App is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our prior written consent.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
- Any defects will be corrected.
- Your streak data or completion history will be free from loss or corruption.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CleanStreak and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data or streaks — arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
8. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. Deleting the App from your device removes all locally stored data. To remove iCloud-synced data, use Settings → Delete All Data before uninstalling.
We reserve the right to discontinue the App at any time without notice. Sections covering intellectual property, disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, and governing law survive any termination.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
